About this item

The LG Refrigerator Filter Drier (Part Number: ADH72950713) is an authentic original equipment manufacturer (OEM) replacement sealed system component designed for LG refrigerators. Installed on the high-pressure liquid line between the condenser coil and the capillary expansion tube, this spun copper filter drier contains internal desiccant beads and mesh screens that trap moisture, acid, and microscopic debris carried by liquid refrigerant before it enters the capillary tube.

Key Features

  • Spun Copper Construction: Formed from high-purity copper tubing engineered for high-pressure brazed connections and long-term corrosion resistance.

  • Internal Desiccant Media: Filled with molecular sieve desiccant beads that absorb moisture from the closed refrigerant loop.

  • Multi-Port Connection Design: Includes pre-formed inlet, outlet, and process/charging tube stub extensions equipped with protective end caps.

Benefits

  • Prevents moisture from freezing inside the narrow capillary tube, which causes capillary blockage and cooling loss.

  • Essential replacement component whenever opening or repairing a sealed refrigeration circuit (e.g., compressor replacement or leak repair).

  • Protects compressor internal valving from particulate wear and acid damage.

Applications

Designed specifically for select LG refrigerator models requiring part number ADH72950713.

What's Included

  • 1 x Genuine LG Refrigerator Copper Filter Drier Assembly (ADH72950713)

Usage Instructions

  1. DANGER: Sealed system repairs involve compressed refrigerant gas and high-temperature brazing torches. Repairs must be performed by a certified HVAC/R technician using proper recovery equipment.

  2. Safely recover the existing refrigerant from the sealed system according to environmental regulations.

  3. Use a tubing cutter or brazing torch to un-braze the old filter drier from the condenser and capillary lines.

  4. Clean copper line connection ends with emery cloth.

  5. Braze the new LG ADH72950713 filter drier into place, flowing nitrogen gas through the lines during brazing to prevent internal oxidation.

  6. Evacuate the sealed system with a vacuum pump to remove non-condensables, perform a pressure leak check, and recharge with factory-specified refrigerant weight.

Safety Instructions

  • CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN REQUIRED: Refrigerant recovery, brazing, and system charging should only be conducted by a certified refrigeration professional.

  • Always wear safety glasses and heat-resistant gloves when torch brazing copper lines.

Care Instructions

  • Keep protective end caps on all tube stubs until immediately prior to brazing to prevent ambient humidity from contaminating the internal desiccant.
